After going 3-14-1 in 2006, the Cardinals became one of the nation's most improved teams in 2007 and won 12 games, while finishing second at the Empire 8 Championship and earning a spot in the ECAC Upstate Championship. With several key players back from last year, including junior Luke Lennox, the reigning Empire 8 Player of the Year, expectations are running high and dreams of earning an NCAA Championship bid may soon become a reality. The 2008 season officially begins in late August as the Cardinals face SUNY Cortland in the University of Rochester's Flower City Classic.
