Rochester came out firing in the second half, with Chris Blivins taking a pass from Josh Richards to put it in the corner. The game quieted for over twenty minutes until a high ball kicked by Daniel Battelle bounced over goalkeeper
Robert Weigand to fall into the back of the net, clinching a 3-0 lead for the Yellowjackets with only 20 minutes to play.
The Yellowjackets outscored the Cardinals 14-8. Senior Weigand saw all 90 minutes between the pipes, making three saves. Rochester goalkeeper Scott Garfing played the majority of the game, tallying one save.
The Cardinals return to action on Saturday as they face SUNY Oneonta at 4:30 p.m. as part of the U of R's Flower City Tournament.
