The St. John Fisher College men's lacrosse team jumped out to a 15-3 lead and never looked back, as the Cardinals
cruised to 25-4 win over Milwaukee School of Engineering on Friday night at Johns Hopkins University.
Fisher's
Chris Schmidt led the Cardinals with three goals and four assists, while
Dave Malone added four goals and two assists.
Mitch Ritchie totaled three goals and two assists.
Along with Ritchie, several Cardinals recorded their first career points, including,
Marco Dominic (3g),
Ryan Freije (1g),
Eric Klein (1g),
Evan Hughes (1g, 1a),
Caleb Norton (1g) and
Brian Cole (1g).
Erich Rassow finished 12 of 13 at the face-off X, and recorded six ground balls.
Senior netminder
Jon Cortina recorded the win in goal, finishing with three saves. Classmates
Dan Serafine (5 saves) and
Scott Bowen (4 saves) also saw time in goal.
The Cardinals will travel to Lycoming on Wednesday.
