Sarah Stefanon
Women's Basketball

St. John Fisher College’s Sarah Stefanon (Perry/Perry) of the women’s basketball team has been named as the College’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending February 5, 2012.

On Saturday, the Cardinals lost to Empire 8 leader Ithaca College (18-4, 10-1 E8) by just nine points (75-66), a vast improvement from the season’s earlier 32-point defeat to the Bombers.  In that contest, the guard finished with five points and two rebounds, as she helped Fisher put up a strong fight against the visiting team.

Fisher (11-11, 7-4), who currently sits in third place of the Empire 8 Conference, will return to action at 6 p.m. on Friday night, as it welcomes the Stevens Ducks to Bobby Wanzer Court.
