Women's Tennis Falls to William Smith 7-2

Laura Hale teamed up with Elena Vahl to pick up an 8-5 victory at first doubles.
The St. John Fisher College women’s tennis team (3-2) fell to the William Smith Herons 7-2 at the Fisher tennis courts on this sunny afternoon.

Elena Vahl remains undefeated, making an impressive showing in her second match at the top singles position. She earned Fisher’s second point by defeating William Smith’s Joanie Hilton 6-2, 7-6 (7-3). Vahl teamed up with partner Laura Hale to secure Fisher’s first point at first doubles with an 8-5 win.

The Cardinals are back in Empire 8 action when they host Stevens Institute of Technology Sunday morning at 11 a.m. on the Fisher Courts.
