The St. John Fisher College
men's golf team took home first place in the Empire 8 Championships held at Blue Heron in Macedon, N.Y. this weekend. As a team, the men shot a 603 for the weekend. The women
came out of the championships in third place, with a team total of 807.
Brady Yates led the men's team, shooting the second best individual score of 149 on the weekend. The men lined up in succession behind him -
Joseph Radulski finished up close behind with a 151,
Eric Koehler with a 152, and
Greg Church and
Chris Clapper just behind with a 153 each.
Tyler McArdell shot a 156. The men were victorious by a narrow margin, with Susquehanna on their heels with a team score of 607.
On the women's side,
Alex Battle pulled ahead of the Saturday's leader from Nazareth to take home the highest individual score of 161.
Shannon Nolan finished with a 202, while
Katie Joslyn came up with a 215.
Katie Fandrich shot a 229, and
Katelyn Touhey ended the weekend with a 241.

Both teams hit the road again next weekend to return to action. The women's golf team competes in the William Smith Invitational, while the men travel to the Elmira Invitational.
