'The Faces of Fisher Athletics' Mosaic Among Nation's Best
There are over 2,000 tiles in the Faces of Fisher Athletics mosaic.
The College Sports Information Directors Association (Co-SIDA) has judged The Faces of Fisher Athletics mosaic, created by Assistant Athletic Director/Sports Information Director Norm Kieffer and Sports Information Staff Associate Dallas Miller, as one of the top publications in the country in its annual publication contest.

Among the 29 national entries, Fisher’s mosaic was deemed the third best in the Poster B/C division, with Southwestern Oklahoma State University claiming first and second place for their men’s basketball and football posters, respectively.

The Faces of Fisher Athletics
is a photo mosaic comprised of 2,401 images of St. John Fisher College’s current and former student-athletes, coaches, and administrators. The mosaic also features prominent alumni and contributors such as Russ Brandon, the COO of the Buffalo Bills; Paul Hewitt, the head men’s basketball coach at Georgia Tech; Bobby Wanzer, the first men’s basketball coach at Fisher and a Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame member; Phil Kahler, who recently retired as one of the most decorated coaches in NCAA basketball history; Current College president Dr. Donald Bain; and the late Dr. Katherine Keough, who guided Fisher into the new millennium with an exciting vision of athletics at Fisher.

The images, which have been analyzed and placed by their color and composition, represent the rich history and tradition of athletics at Fisher, and were compiled from December 2007 to March 2008.

While the full-size image, which is over six feet tall, hangs in the lobby of Fisher’s Student Life Center, poster-size replicas can be purchased in the College Bookstore for just $10.
