Men's Tennis Blanks Oswego
Senior Karl Schiefer had a hand in two points on Saturday.
The St. John Fisher College men’s tennis team did not drop a single set, and cruised to a 9-0 win over visiting SUNY Oswego on Saturday in a non-conference meeting.
 
Senior Karl Schiefer picked up his sixth singles win of the season with a straight-sets (6-0, 6-0) decision at fourth singles. Schiefer teamed with Mike O’Connor, who also won 6-0, 6-0 at third singles, as the duo earned their eighth win in double competition.
 
Matt Aquino won his first singles match 7-6, 6-2 to claim his first victory of the season on the singles side, while freshman John Whelehan and Chris Maley paired up for an 8-4 third doubles win.
 
Fisher (6-12 overall, 3-4 Empire 8) will close out the regular season at 1 p.m. next Sunday at Utica College.
