The St. John Fisher women's basketball team picked up a solid
70-38 victory over Colby-Sawyer in its 2009-10 season-opener played at the Skidmore Invitational in Saratoga Springs Saturday night.
Fisher was led by key returners
Colleen Maloney,
Kristen Taliento, and
Mary Kate Comfort. Maloney led the team in scoring, recording 26 points as she shot 11-17 in field goals, made good on two from the curve, and grabbed four boards. Taliento tallied a team-high nine rebounds. Comfort totaled 11 points, shooting 4-6 with one three-point field goal and grabbing five boards.
