Luke Lennox of the St. John Fisher men’s soccer team was one of only three players in the nation to repeat as a 2009 ESPN The Magazine College Division III Academic All-America® First-Team selection, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of American (CoSIDA). Last month, Lennox advanced to the national ballot after being named to the Academic All-America District I First Team.
A Biology and Psychology major with a concentration in pre-medicine and a perfect 4.00 G.P.A., Lennox led St. John Fisher with eight goals and seven assists during his senior campaign. A three-time All-Empire 8 selection, he guided the Cardinals to a 2-0 win over Elmira in the ECAC Upstate New York championship game with both goals scored.
A native of Pittsford, N.Y., Lennox was named as the Most Outstanding Player of the ECAC Tournament. Honored as the Empire 8 Player of the Year in 2007, he was named to the NSCAA New York All-Region team.
Lennox led the Cardinals this season in points (23), shots on goal (16), and penalty kicks converted (2). Over his three-year career at Fisher, he totaled 32 goals and 18 assists for 82 points.
Lennox will continue on to the University of Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences after graduating from Fisher.
