Carlton Named Empire 8 Offensive Player of the Week

Carlton rushed for a career-high four touchdowns in Fisher's victory over Hartwick on Saturday.
Brad Carlton of the St. John Fisher College football team has been honored as the Empire 8 Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending November 15.

Carlton ran 22 times for 153 yards and four touchdowns, all career-highs, to lead St. John Fisher to a 56-13 victory over Hartwick and a share of its fourth Empire 8 title in the past six years. Carlton scored three times in the first half as the Cardinals built a 35-0 lead at intermission.

Carlton led the offense, which produced exactly 600 yards of total offense and accumulated 30 first downs.

In his senior season, Carlton leads the Cardinals in receiving and points scored, with 38 receptions for 369 yards and 78 total points, and is second on the team in receiving touchdowns (2), rushing yards (492), and rushing touchdowns (11).

The Cardinals will make their seventh straight postseason appearance as they host the SUNY Cortland Red Dragons in the ECAC Northwest Bowl this Saturday at Growney Stadium, with a tentative noon kickoff.
