Volleyball Goes 2-0 at Keuka Invitational

The St. John Fisher College women's volleyball team upped their record to 11 straight wins as it went 2-0 at the Keuka Invitational today.  Fisher opened the day as they defeated Keuka 3-1 (25-12, 16-25, 25-7, 25-18), then went on to defeat SUNY Morrisville in a straight set (25-13, 25-16, 25-11). 

Against Keuka, Becca Smith led the team with 12 kills and 16 digs, while Sydney Kandefer pounded 11 kills and led the team with three blocks.  Elaina Braun recorded 32 assists, picked up 10 digs, and added three kills. 

In the Cardinals' second match of the day, Brittany Rowan served up four aces and added four kills.  Kendall O'Connor and Kandefer combined for 13 kills, four blocks, and hit .500.

The Cardinals return to action on Tuesday, as they take on host University of Rochester at 7 p.m. before making their way to the Empire 8 Championship the following weekend.

The men's basketball team erupts for 101 points and wins 101-65 over visiting SUNY Oswego.  The Cardinals led 47-26 at the half and 10 different players scored in the win with Rudy Rivera's 25 points leading the way.
