Volleyball Finishes 4-0 at the Empire 8 Crossover; Waldron Sets College Record

Waldron set a new College record for career digs as she hit 1,918 this weekend.
After two decisive defeats over Alfred and RIT last night, the St. John Fisher College women's volleyball team continued to dominate at the Empire 8 Crossover at Nazareth this weekend as they picked up two more wins today.  Fisher opened the day with a five-set battle to win 3-2 (25-23, 21-25, 25-22, 21-25, 15-12) over Elmira College, then went on to cruise past Hartwick 3-0 (25-16, 25-15, 25-12) later in the day.

Senior Jenna Waldron picked up 39 digs to break the College career record and set her own with 1,918.  Becca Smith combined for 20 kills on the day, while Elaina Braun recorded 61 assists.

The Cardinals are back in action when they host Buffalo State Thursday night and honor their seniors at their last home match at Manning & Napier Varsity Gym.  Play begins at 7 p.m.

The men's basketball team erupts for 101 points and wins 101-65 over visiting SUNY Oswego.  The Cardinals led 47-26 at the half and 10 different players scored in the win with Rudy Rivera's 25 points leading the way.
