Women's Tennis Drops a 6-3 Decision to Nazareth

Junior Katie Catalano earned a victory at fourth singles for Fisher.
The St. John Fisher College women's tennis team fell to neighboring East Ave. rival Nazareth 6-3 in conference play on Thursday.  The women, 4-4 overall, drop to 2-3 in Empire 8 match-ups.

Elena Vahl remains undefeated in regular season dual matches after defeating Alexandra Vizgaitis of Naz 6-0, 6-2 last night.  Vahl is now 8-0 in singles play, and 7-1 in doubles play with partner Laura Hale.  The two combined to take the point at first doubles, defeating Jackeline Martinez and Elizabeth Way 8-5. 

Katie Catalano recorded Fisher's third point for the match, in a 6-4, 6-3 win at fourth singles.

The women return to action this weekend when they host Hartwick on Saturday at 1 p.m.
