The St. John Fisher College women's tennis team completed competition at Cornell University in the annual New York State Division III Women's Tournament held at the Reis Tennis Center this weekend.
Elena Vahl, who remained undefeated in regular season play, advanced to the semifinals after sailing past Sarah Foster of Alfred University 6-1, 6-1 in the quarters. She met her demise against Alexa Wines of New York University, falling 6-2, 6-0 in the semifinals.

Laura Hale to advance to the quarterfinals in doubles play Friday night. The duo defeated Nazareth's first doubles team 8-4, then went on to fall 8-5 in the quarterfinals to University of Rochester's Alex Goodman and Frances Tseng, the tournament's number three seed in the first doubles bracket.
Fisher's
Katie Barlow advanced to the quarters in singles play, victorious against Elizabeth Way of Nazareth, She dropped the first set but battled back to defeat Way 5-7, 6-4, 10-6. Barlow fell to Liz Feldman of New York University 6-3- 6-1 in the quarterfinals.
